| NEW DEVELOPMENT UPDATE
Gosling Sports Park is delighted to announce significant progress in relation to the £4.7m Gym and Spa development. Our first achievement relates to the successful negotiation of our Head Lease, held by Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council. Following 18 months of consultation the new 125 year lease was signed by the Council on Thursday 21st June and is recognised as a significant landmark in securing a positive future for Gosling Sports Park. Obtaining the Lease has meant that we have also been able to secure a formal funding offer for the entire project. Therefore, we are now delighted to confirm that we have accepted a funding offer from Barclays Bank which will enable us to construct a superb facility as per our original plans, consisting of: • 100 Station Health and Fitness Suite • Professional Spa Complex with: • 2 Aerobics/Yoga Studios • Modern Changing Rooms • Spa Retail Unit • Sports Retail Unit • New Reception • Refurbished Café Bar With all of these arrangements in place, we are now in a position to complete and sign the building contract with Pellikaan in order for them to commence the detailed drawings phase – estimated to take a maximum of 10 weeks - and then progress onto the construction phase – estimated to take a maximum of 40 weeks. This means an anticipated timeline of: Pre-Construction Detailed Drawing Phase: October to December 2007 Construction Phase: Mid December 2007 to September 2008 Facility Opens: October 2008 We are pleased to confirm that the current Gosling Fitness facility will remain open up to the launch of the new facility. We also have plans for a very special loyalty offer for existing Gosling Fitness Members who continue their membership in the new facility – further details will emerge over the coming months.
