| RECEPTIONIST Various shifts are available including afternoons, evenings and weekends. These roles involve answering incoming calls, dealing with members and customers face to face and ensuring the smooth running of reception at all times. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills with an excellent telephone manner and understand the importance of being a real team player. TENNIS COACH The goal for British tennis is to increase the number of players competing and to get more players on the performance pathway. You will play a key role within Gosling HPC (High Performance Centre) in acheiving these goals for British Tennis. Gosling HPC is located on a 52 acre sports park which hosts 17 sports including Golf, Athletics, Skiing and Cycling. The Tennis facilities include 13 indoor courts, 8 outdoor courts and a five million pound Gym & Spa. The Tennis department offers every player the opportunity to succeed by developing to their full Tennis potential. There are Tennis programmes designed for international players, club players and community programmes. We are looking to recruit a dedicated and ambitious Coach to work within a team of full-time coaches. In this position the successful candidate will be specifically responsible for the training and competitive development of the junior members of the Tennis Club as well as contributing to the overall performance of the Tennis Centre. | STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH The LTA's objective is to get more juniors across the country competing regularly, more 13-21 year olds on track for the top and more British tennis players into the Top 100. As one of the top High Performance Centres in the country, with state of the art facilities, we have an opportunity for a Strength & Conditioning coach to work on the junior programme with some of the most committed young players in the country. The services required are to coordinate and deliver Strength & Conditioning provision to junior tennis players in our afternoon and evening squads. A qualification at degree level (or equivalent) in sports science or related area specialising in the physical preparation of elite athletes as well as the UK Strength & Conditioning Association Accreditation (or the ability to obtain it within 12 months) is required. This qualification should preferably be supported by some relevant experience. A tennis coaching qualification is desirable. | COMPANY BOARD MEMBERS
In order to build on recent successes and help the Sports Park meet new challenges, the Board is now looking to recruit new members to strengthen its team and complement existing skills. The positions are voluntary, non-executive and unpaid, and involve making a commitment of several hours per month, but offer the right kind of person the opportunity to play an influential role in guiding the future of this exciting and extremely popular community sports and leisure facility. Applicants with a background in HR, the sports and leisure industry or with good business experience would be especially welcome. Gosling Sports Park would like to hear from anyone interested in becoming a Board Member who feels they have the necessary skills, experience, energy and commitment.
